Neighborhood Pods aims to foster a culture of mutuality — a Kingston where we turn towards each other, one block at a time.
What Are Neighborhood Pods?
Neighborhood pods are groups of people committed to building a network of mutual aid and trust in their community. Expanding on existing relationships and connections, neighborhood pods foster communication between neighbors to identify, share, and help meet individual and community needs. Start where you are, and who knows what could emerge over time.
What does a Pod Leader do?
Neighborhood stewards reach out to their neighbors, connecting and fostering communication within the group. Stewards do what they can, in their own way, to hold space for building relationships and facilitating mutual assistance/aid/support. Stewards also connect with each other to bridge neighborhoods across Kingston and give and receive support in doing this work.
